According to a report by Startuplist Africa, Ghana was ranked in the top 5 of Venture Capital investments in Africa with an estimated value of $90 Million.
According to the report, Ghana got about 9% share of overall fundings in Africa for investments in 2020. Other countries on the list included in ascending order: Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and Egypt.
The top 5 startups in Ghana with the most investments included:
- Chipper Cash ($44 Million)
- MPharma ($30 Million)
- Africa Health Holdings ($14 Million)
- Zeepay ($940,000)
- Africa Foresight Group ($700,000)
According to Startuplist Africa, Ghana’s Tech Ecosystem has attracted about a total of $200 Million for the past five years when it comes to startup investment.
